An Introduction to Teaching Engineering in Prep Schools

2018 is the Year of the Engineer, so there is no better time to explore the introduction of engineering as a curriculum subject. This course includes consideration of the value of teaching engineering to Years 3 to 8, the principles that lie behind it, and how to resource engineering in terms of time, space, materials and expertise. There will be plenty of hands-on sessions for delegates to experience the engineering approach, and lesson plans and teaching resources will be provided to take away. St Faith’s is the winner of the 2018 TES Award, ‘Strategic Initiative of the Year’, for the introduction of engineering.
