Science: Enhancing Scientific Learning in EYFS and KS1
Young children are natural scientists and we need to foster their sense of curiosity by providing them with interesting and exciting science lessons that engage and stimulate a sense of wonder. This course aims to provide a host of practical ideas and activities that can be used in the early years and KS1 to develop the Understanding the World area of the foundation stage curriculum and National Curriculum for Science in KS1. During the day we will look at progression in science skills and the different ways children can work scientifically. It will be a hands on session and delegates will leave with a pack of materials including ideas for the classroom.
