Music: conducting for choirs and orchestras - essential knowledge and the difference between the two
This course is aimed at music teachers who already have some conducting experience but wish to improve their skills in order to achieve more positive, reactive responses from pupils whilst conducting. It will be an intensive all-day symposium/masterclass comprising presentations regarding physiology and acoustics of the singing voice; health and wellbeing of singers and practitioners; leadership and communications, as well as singing. There will also be practical components for choral conducting, as well as rehearsal of differences between choral and orchestral conducting.
