Classics: Ex Cineribus - Classics post-Covid and the new common entrance

10 November 2021 9am – 12.50pm Subject Online

This course gathers an array of speakers to advise on the new CE Classics specifications, discuss catching up on lost learning post-Covid and promote excellence in the provision of Latin, Greek and Classical Civilisation teaching. Ed Clarke will discuss in detail the new English to Latin sentences at CE and how to work composition into everyday teaching. Nicholas Richards will cover the updated Greek CE and join Bob Bass in outlining the brand-new Classical Civilisation paper, with respect to its content, format and benefits to prospective students. Stephen Anderson will also be on hand to broaden the scope of discussion into senior school teaching and higher education. Closing the day will be an interactive Q&A session, with breakout rooms to allow plenty of opportunity for speakers and delegates alike to share resources and ideas.
