Raising resilience for whole school wellbeing
This talk is only for those that have been elected to IAPS Senior Leader membership.
This talk considers resilience in terms of self-esteem, self-efficacy, self-awareness and self-regulation. It explores the different ways in which low self-esteem impacts mental wellbeing, and how to identify colleagues and pupils whose self-esteem is leading to unhelpful behaviour. It looks at how to help children develop confidence in their competence and raise self-awareness. This includes gaining an understanding of the common thinking traps we fall into, and how we can change unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling and behaviour.
