When does it take place?

The 8-9 boys' Championship take place in the Summer term
The 10-13 boys' Championship take place in the Spring term
The girls' Championship takes place in the Spring term

Eligibility

Pupils can only participate in their age group and cannot compete up an age group.

Competitor details
Once you have booked, you will be asked to provide some details about your competitors before the event. In line with GDPR, only essential information is collected in order to be able to organise the sports event.

 

Boys' 8-9

Eligibility

Boy's must be at least 8 years old on the day of the competition.

Judo competitors can only compete in their age band and are not permitted to compete up a year group.

Weight categories

Group A (8 & 9 year olds) - U24kg, U28kg, U32kg, U36kg, U40kg, U44kg, U48kg, *O48kg - Max Weight 55kg

Competitors weigh-in on the day to confirm their weight categories. Where numbers are insufficient, some weight groups (but not bands) may be combined.

Judo suits

Standard white judo suits should be worn with a plain white t-shirt.

Cost of entry: £35 per individual

Entries

Competitors must never have medalled in any area or national judo competition, with the exception of this annual IAPS tournament, before entering this event.

Boys' 10-13

Group C 12 & 13 year olds - U36kg, U40kg, U44kg, U48kg, U52kg, U57kg, U60kg, *O63kg – Max Weight 70kg
