The Hockey Championships take place in the Autumn term.
2022/2023 competition

2022/2023 finals
U11 final - Friday, 11 November 2022 at Cheltenham College
U12 final - Friday, 2 December 2022 at Clifton College
U13 final - Friday, 25 November 2022 at Haileybury
Age groups
U11, U12 and U13 tournaments.
All age groups must consist of girls only.
This is in accordance with the NGB's rules and regulations.
Eligibility
Pupils can only participate in one age group throughout the competition. The competition is defined as both qualifying events and the finals.
Umpiring at IAPS events
Qualifiers
Schools must provide a competent and confident umpire, unless otherwise advised.
Finals
At all finals, where possible, neutral umpires will be provided.
Schools should be prepared to provide an umpire for the finals.
Risk assessment
A full risk assessment is carried out between IAPS and host venues for each event. If you require a copy of the events risk assessment, please contact IAPS Sport.
Competitor details
Once you have booked, you will be asked to provide some details about your competitors before the event. In line with GDPR, only essential information is collected in order to be able to organise the sports event.
2022/2023 competition
The 2022/2023 qualifying events are taking place at various venues across the country between 28/09/2022 and 4/11/2022.
The 2022/2023 national final is taking place at Cheltenham College on 11 November 2022.
For events in the Autumn term, bookings will open during the Summer term preceding it.
For events in the Spring term, bookings will open during the Autumn term.
For events in the Summer term, bookings will open during the Spring term.

The number of teams qualifying for the finals is determined by IAPS based on the total number of entries and qualifying events.

For events in the Autumn term, bookings will open during the Summer term preceding it.
For events in the Spring term, bookings will open during the Autumn term.
For events in the Summer term, bookings will open during the Spring term.
This is a standalone event to increase participation.

Only year 7 pupils are eligible for this event and they cannot play in both the U12 and U13 events.

If you have a pupil who is out of age and wishes to play Hockey with their year group, you can apply directly to England Hockey for approval to play out of age.
