NACE: The importance of questioning in challenging all students
In this session attendees will consider the research behind effective questioning strategies and types. Using practical examples drawn from our network of school’s ideas will be shared including goal-free questioning, questions that develop deeper thinking and using techniques such as ABC – Agree, Build & Challenge. Other areas covered include PMI questioning – Plus, Minus & Interesting as well as questions in the learning environment. Attendees will go away with practical strategies to use immediately in their teaching whatever phase they work in. The session will be lively, interactive and a chance to share ideas of what works well.
