English Twilight - Challenge in reading with NACE
This course explores the big picture of reading in schools, and the multiple strands of provision that need to be right, including children and young people’s reading diet as offered by the curriculum and reading enrichment activities. Moving on to reading in English lessons, we will then consider the planning and delivery of rich, open-ended reading lessons that support examination of vocabulary and grammar choices as part of writers’ craft. The course will end with a brief look at the relationship between reading and writing.
