Maths: Innovative Mathematics Education

2 February 2024 10am – 4pm Subject St James Preparatory & Nursery School, W14 8SH

Mathematics education is a dynamic field and recent changes in policy and expectations have meant that teachers need to carefully consider the needs of their pupils and how they can become resilient, future mathematicians. Through expert speakers and collaboration with colleagues we will explore how we can ensure that our children are developing the skills and knowledge to be able to become lifelong mathematicians and problem solvers in the modern world. We will learn how problem solving is instrumental to any mathematics curriculum and how best to embed this into our pedagogy to ensure children are prepared for future mathematical challenges.

Whether you are teaching mathematics for the first time or an experienced teacher, this course will help you to develop your understanding of the changing mathematical education landscape and help you stay at the forefront as a mathematics educator.
