We recognise that many of our schools do not have access to professional HR support. While within IAPS HQ, we have the expertise to give advice and guidance on HR matters, we believe that members may at times also benefit from more extensive support than we have capacity to provide.
To further expand the offer to member schools, we have engaged Angela Roberts - The HR Consultancy, a specialist professional HR company, to provide a service available to all IAPS schools, funded by subscriptions.
This offers the following:
- All member schools will have access to up to eight hours of support in any academic year
- Assistance can be obtained on any school HR matter, including but not limited to disciplinary, grievance, capability, flexible working requests and managing ill health
- Support available will include drafting or reviewing letters and planning and advising on processes, as well as general advice on dealing with issues or HR processes
- Any additional help needed over the eight hours may be accessed directly 0via the HR Consultancy at a reduced rate, but will be payable by the school
As IAPS provides contracts of employment, a staff handbook and safer recruitment documentation which are all regularly updated by lawyers, the HR support funded by us will not cover work on these documents by an individual school, but plese contact Deputy CEO Emilie Darwin should you need to discuss any of these documents.
We expect to continue to offer initial advice to members and all referrals to Angela Roberts - The HR Consultancy will be organised via Emilie.
