Drama - The Creative Stage

The Creative Stage is designed to inspire and equip Drama teachers with tools, techniques, and strategies to enhance learning. Collaborate with colleagues, hear from expert speakers, and take away practical ideas to invigorate your teaching.
Course aims include:
· Celebrating teachers as creative practitioners who bring Drama to life
· Exploring how theatre strategies enrich student learning and engagement
· Highlighting current and future priorities for Drama education and development
The course will include:
- A session with Kim Thompson: IAPS subject advisor for Drama and Drama teacher at Bilton Grange
- A session with Tim Coker: Artistic Director of Rugby School
- A session with Louise Beale: Louise Beale works as a TV News reporter who you can currently see on Channel 5 News and as Speaker Coach and Event Host. Louise uses what she’s learnt from a career in broadcasting and being on stage herself to help her clients stand up and stand out. She is passionate about helping everyone at all ages and stages communicate with confidence.
- A 2 hour workshop from Highly Sprung Theatre Company: We create inspiring performances and experiences using physical theatre. Enabling better futures for children and young people. Highly Sprung tell compelling and relevant stories, where text moves and movement speaks. Our work with and for children and young people produces bold, spectacular performances and unforgettable experiences, in unexpected ways, spaces, and places.
