Ardvreck School is a co-educational day and boarding prep school for pupils aged from 3-13. Located in Crieff, Perthshire in our own idyllic 42 acre estate.
At Ardvreck we offer a unique and distinctive education in a magnificent learning environment set in our own idyllic 42 acre estate in the wonderful Perthshire countryside. Our goal is to provide a foundation for life; to engender a passion for learning, the ability to recognise and grasp all opportunities and to prepare every child for the next stage of their career.
Academically the pupils are prepared for entry into their chosen Public School either through the Common Entrance Examination, or the Public School Scholarship system (with over 50 Scholarships being awarded to our pupils in the past 3 years). However teaching and learning is not confined to the classroom. We are fortunate to live in an area so rich in history and natural beauty. Education continues into the outside world, whether formally as part of a planned lesson, building dams and dens in our ‘forest’, exploring, creating adventures, or as part of an environmental study in Science or Geography. The outdoor programme extends to embrace all that Scotland has to offer; historically, socially and environmentally. The weekend expeditions include trips to mountains for hiking, camping and skiing and cultural trips to towns and cities.
Little Ardvreck lays the foundation and tone for the child’s journey through the school. The Montessori nursery develops experiential learning, the Forest School leader encourages learning through nature walks, storytelling and gardening. The children develop in an atmosphere that is vibrant, energetic, and exciting; a synthesis of caring, nurturing and learning.
The heart of the school lies in the strength of the community. A familial atmosphere extends throughout the school, and the children learn the value of trust, courtesy and manners. Friendships are formed that develop and grow throughout their lives. Our pupils are confident, thinking, active members of their community and valued members of society.
What greater gift can parent offer their child than a first rate education?
