Swanbourne House

Swanbourne House

Swanbourne House is a thriving, independent, co-educational Prep School, with boarding, day and nursery departments. Our school sits in 55 acres of glorious Buckinghamshire countryside. We provide a continuous education for children aged from three to thirteen.

We believe that happiness and growing self-confidence within the Swanbourne family are the keys to a child's success. Our strengths, as highlighted by the highest grades in our recent inspection report by the Independent Schools Inspectorate, include excellent academic achievements, pastoral care, creativity in art and design technology, sport and extra-curricular provision. We pride ourselves on preparing pupils for scholarships and entry to the top public schools and guide parents to help them find the school which will best suit their child. Yet, with all their skills and learning, Swanbourne pupils do not grow up too soon and they enjoy the fun and spirit of school life. Come and visit us; you can be sure of a warm welcome. Simon & Caroline Hitchings.

  • Nursery Stay & Play

    9:30 -11:00

We hold Stay and Play sessions throughout the year for parents who are thinking about enrolling their child in the Nursery. These sessions give you and your child the chance to familiarise yourselves with the Nursery and to meet your childÂ’s future friends and teachers. Your child will join in with other children in the Nursery, be that playing outside in the courtyard, watching the rabbits, drawing or dressing up, the choice is theirs. Friends and grandparents are most welcome to come along too. The Registrar, Mrs Pratten, will be available to chat to should you have any further questions and will be more than happy to give you a tour of the Prep school afterwards if you would like. Please register by visiting: http://www.swanbourne.org/Open-Mornings or telephone 01296 720264.
