Annual Conference

Overview

The 2026 IAPS Annual Conference will take place at Birmingham’s prestigious International Convention Centre from Wednesday 23 to Friday 25 September. 

We have taken on board the feedback you gave us following last year’s Conference and have made some changes to the timetable and content of the programme, whilst still offering you the chance to spend time with fellow Heads away from the daily challenges of running your school.

Registration on Wednesday 23 September begins at 9.30am and the Conference will open formally at 11am, with a programme that will feature engaging and inspiring keynotes, a range of seminars and discussions, as well as scope for you to explore issues specific to your context with Heads running schools of similar types. Most importantly, there will be opportunities to spend time and socialise with each other. 
 
The cost of your ticket includes admission to all three Conference days, lunch and refreshments each day and, of course, the Conference dinner on the evening of Thursday 24 September.

International schools
We are once again able to offer an International Day to precede the conference, taking place on Tuesday 22 September. This will be generously hosted by Hallfield School, close to Birmingham city centre and the Conference venue. 

Delegates can arrive from 10.30am and join an optional learning walk at the school, followed by lunch and an afternoon of sessions focused on issues relevant to prep schools operating abroad. The day’s content is being finalised with our international District Representatives and Hallfield School. Please add this alongside your main conference ticket.
