At Bryanston Prep, we believe that a school should inspire a love of learning while promoting social growth, emotional awareness, intellectual development and creativity.

Our prep school is set in the beautiful Dorset countryside and we make the most of it. Education should not be confined to a classroom and a desk. Our children are outdoors as much as possible, learning from and in nature.

Exploration and inquiry are key ingredients of our academic curriculum and extra-curricular offering, both in the outdoors and in the classroom, in the arts, the sciences and on our Adventure Training programme.

Our curriculum is based on Knowledge, Enlightenment and Discovery (KED). Each child has their own unique approach to learning and we develop an individual learning pathway for every pupil. We believe how you learn is as important as what you learn.

The teachers at Bryanston Prep direct and guide, based on understanding each child’s learning disposition – the way they go about learning.

When the time comes to move on to a senior school, we work with each child and their family to find the right place for them. Our focus on the individual enables us to help parents to find the right senior school for their child, where they will be most happy, and can continue their education in an environment that suits their particular way of learning.
