Emilie Darwin
Chief Executive
As well as leading the IAPS team in Warwick, Emilie works with the Chair and the Board to shape the strategic direction of IAPS. Emilie has provided support and guidance to IAPS member Heads on a whole range of topics since joining the Association in 2019. Before this, Emilie spent 15 years as a lawyer advising independent schools.

Head of Finance
Helen is responsible for IAPS' finances including accounts, tax and controls. She is a trustee and Secretary/ Treasurer of iTrust, and is also happy to offer advice to members on financial matters. Helen represents IAPS at meetings of the Independent Schools Examination Board (ISEB) and the Independent Schools Council (ISC) finance committee. Helen also oversees commercial income via links with exhibitors and partners.
Prior to joining IAPS, Helen held a number of finance posts in wide-ranging industries, both technical and transactional accounting and controls work, and trained as an auditor with PwC.

Katherine Bluck
Head of Professional Development
Katherine transitioned from her role as an IAPS member Head to become the Head of Professional Development. A primary-aged specialist with 20 years in education, and a former Ofsted Registered Person for a day nursery, Katherine brings a wealth of experience, having worked in four IAPS schools, including two as Head.
She is deeply committed to fostering continuous development among IAPS school members, emphasising collaboration and mutual support as key drivers of professional growth.

Emily Nunan
Head of Sport and Pupil Experience
Emily Nunan is Head of Sport and Pupil Experience, leading the strategic development and oversight of the Association’s sport and wider pupil experience programmes.
She is responsible for shaping and growing provision across sport, arts and curriculum enrichment, ensuring a broad, high-quality offer for member schools, while contributing to organisational leadership and strategy.

Katie Walker
Head of Strategy
Katie oversees the tangible and effective realisation of the plans contained in IAPS' current strategy, leading a team of specialist project professionals.
Working with our committees, members and other staff teams, she monitors progress and reports regularly to the Board to ensure we provide an excellent service and respond to the needs of members.

Di Kamen
EA to the Chief Executive
Di is the first point of contact for the Chief Executive, handling her incoming communications and corresponding on their behalf when appropriate. She oversees the CEO’s administration, manages and is responsible for their diary and makes all necessary travel arrangements.
Di is also responsible for the administrative elements of the Association’s governance, including changes to the Articles of Association and Byelaws, and handles all the administration for the Board, Members’ Advisory Board, Staff Committee and the Association’s AGM.

PA to Senior Leadership Team
Gillian provides PA support to the Senior Leadership Team, coordinating diaries, meetings, communications, and key administrative processes across IAPS. She also supports the coaching programme and manages the appointment process for new committee General Representatives.
Gillian also provides administrative support for the Education, Pastoral and Wellbeing, Finance, and iTrust Committees, as well as the Pre-Prep and Early Years Group (PPEYG) and works closely with Subject Advisers and colleagues across the organisation, promoting staff wellbeing and supporting the effective delivery of a wide range of programmes, initiatives, and activities.

Nick Robinson
Director of International
Nick works with our international members further developing the benefits for overseas Heads and their school.
Alongside this, Nick is helping to create greater opportunities for interaction between Heads and schools worldwide and growing our international membership through the recruitment of high-quality prep and junior schools around the world.

Emma Farman
Projects Assistant
Emma works in the Projects team at IAPS, focusing mainly on supporting Districts and helping members feel engaged and well supported within their region. She enjoys connecting with members through termly meetings and helping to strengthen collegiate networks.
Before joining the IAPS team, Emma worked in London as a professional dancer before moving into agency work and running a range of events and programmes, as well as teaching across a variety of age groups. Through this experience of planning initiatives and delivering programmes, Emma discovered her love for project work.

Dan Howells
Strategic Projects Lead
Dan supports the delivery of a range of strategic projects across IAPS, with a particular focus on the development and expansion of Associate Membership and the growth of our International community.
Before joining IAPS, Dan worked across the education, charity and sporting sectors, holding roles with Teach First, United Learning, Aspire to HE and The Football Association. He completed an MBA at Warwick Business School in 2023.

Pamela Laryea
Projects Assistant
Pam is a Project Assistant, supporting the delivery of key projects such as co-ordinating our School-Type networks meetings, organising coaching provisions for new members, and Excellence Visits which enable schools to share best practice in identified areas of strength.

Cameron Nicoll
Projects Assistant
Cameron joined the Strategy team in August 2024 and has been involved in several IAPS initiatives during that time, such as the 2024-25 census, 2026 Members Survey, IAPS Pupil Survey, IAPS NPQSL and NPQH and the Supporting Quality and Compliance service.

Katy Burrows
Membership and Events Administrator
Katy works in the Membership team at IAPS, serving as a friendly point of contact for general membership enquiries and overseeing key administrative tasks. She enjoys connecting with members to support them through their application journey and in making the most out of their membership.
Prior to joining IAPS, Katy spent seven years teaching French and Spanish at secondary level. Her experience across schools in Lincolnshire, Berkshire and Warwickshire gave her a strong understanding of the independent sector, as well as a deep appreciation for each school's unique character and the richness of pupils' educational experiences.

Laura Twynholm
Membership Officer
Laura is the Membership Officer at IAPS, focusing mainly on liaising directly with members, and being first point of contact for all their membership enquiries. She takes charge of membership application and inspection journeys and all they entail.
Before joining the IAPS team, Laura worked as a Senior Leader within a primary school and taught a variety of age groups for 13 years. Alongside this, she trained in project management and has now combined these two elements within the Membership Officer role. Through her love of interacting with people and service management, she delivers a member-focused service to our community.

Marketing and Communications
Eloise Green
Digital Communications Officer
Eloise works in the Marketing and Communications team, collaborating closely with the Sport, Professional Development and Projects teams to support joined-up communications. She manages the IAPS social media channels and supports the delivery of our podcast, bulletins, sport mailings and event materials.
Eloise completed a degree in Geography, including a Diploma in Professional Studies with GSA, where she worked in the Professional Development and Student Events team. After graduating, she spent five months backpacking across south east Asia and Australia before joining IAPS in spring 2025.

Fran Keaney
Digital Communications Officer
Fran is part of the Marketing and Communications team and is responsible for compiling and distributing regular newsletters to members, producing and publishing podcasts and supporting IAPS HQ with a range of marketing materials, such as videos and presentations.

IT and Systems Technician
Nathan is our IT and Systems Technician, providing support to colleagues and overseeing the security and integrity of the Association's computer systems, networks and data.

Sandra Connor
Office Administrator
Sandra looks after the general day-to-day running of IAPS HQ and the ordering of office supplies and stationery. Sandra is the first point of contact for incoming calls, emails and visitors to the office and liaises with our tenants and suppliers for maintenance and repairs to the whole building to ensure it is a safe working environment and running as cost efficiently as possible.
