Enhancing Excellence in Prep MFL: Curriculum, Pedagogy and Practice
This course is designed to support leaders and teachers of MFL in developing high-quality, engaging and effective language provision within their schools. It focuses on strengthening subject knowledge, curriculum design and pedagogy, enabling participants to build pupils’ confidence across speaking, listening, reading and writing. The day brings together leading practitioners to explore key themes including the use of artificial intelligence to transform language teaching with Joe Dale, strategies for maintaining engagement and adapting lessons for all learners with Philip Bates, and practical approaches to adapting the Conti method for a prep school context with Charles Philips.
The course concludes with a reflective session led by our IAPS subject adviser, David Power, allowing delegates to consolidate learning and consider next steps. Participants will leave with practical strategies, fresh ideas and renewed confidence to enhance teaching and learning in MFL and to support development within their departments and schools.
