Geography: Curious by nature- exploring your environment through fieldwork

The morning will start with a session with Peter King, our IAPS Subject Adviser for Geography about Inspiring curiosity, followed by a talk from Alan Parkinson (author, head of geography at King’s Ely Prep and Vice President: Education of the Royal Geographical Society) who will talk about curriculum development. Peter will then lead a second session on maximising learning for all.

The afternoon will include a session on fieldwork led by Jon Cannell (Geographical Association) exploring how you can make the most of your local area. The course will be taking place at Beeston Hall on the north Norfolk coast, allowing delegates to explore the area in this session.
