Making Thinking Visible: The Power of Modelling in the Writing Classroom
In this session, we will explore how effective modelling goes beyond simply showing children a finished example, and instead makes the thinking, choices and decision-making behind writing visible. We will look at practical examples of how think-alouds, shared writing and carefully planned scaffolds can support children to develop ideas, make purposeful language choices and ultimately write with greater independence.
