Art: exploring printmaking
Printmaking is an exciting process which is a great way to experiment and explore visual art and design. The variety of techniques we will use throughout the day will reach out to all ages and can be easily adapted to suit different levels of ability, lending itself well to many themes and curriculum areas. We will work with a wide range of interesting materials to print with and print on and enjoy the exciting outcomes that they offer!
The course will give an understanding and knowledge of a range of printmaking processes and practical experience of mono printing, relief printing, poly printing and lino printing. The day will provide the opportunity to explore and experiment hands on, allowing the group to have a connection to the work created. It will enable a discovery of the potential of print and allow these techniques to be taken back to the classroom to share and explore further.
